WGU Refer-A-Friend (Thread for those seeking a referral)

After talking to Mikej412 and Webmaster it was agreed that there was a need for a separate thread devoted to requests for WGU references (Refer-A-Friend). You can use this thread to seek out WGU students at TechExams that are willing to refer you. You can read about how this benefits you and the person who refers you in the paragraph below.
Do not post your PII (Personally Identifiable Information) or e-mail address in your post. Reply with a request for a referral and we will contact you.

New to the board - and I would love to get a referral.
Thanks!
I recently moved to Parkersburg WV, and well employment opportunities for IT folks are slim pickings. With my wife working full time I think it may be time to head back and complete my degree. If someone would be so kind to pass along a referral to WGU that would be terrific! Thanks.

It's not really a promotion-- it's ongoing, at least for now.
My guess is it'll continue until WGU wises up and realizes they need to charge an unavoidable, irrevocable application fee like everyone else.

Indeed. It's taken me a while to get over my apprehension about online vs "real" universities. It's mostly a matter of pride and my own perception. All the jobs I want require degrees, and the ability to do it quickly was the deciding factor.
I did just find out that of all my certs, only the two that aren't in the program would count(my A+, Net+ and iNet+ are older than five years, with my Linux+ being exactly five years).
That is one of the things that I appreciate about WGU. They require your certs to be current in order for them to count.
The deciding factor for me was when USC Upstate pulled out of out of Greenville. Up until then they had a CIS degree that you could work on during the evenings. The program was through a USC extension program.
Should be OK once you complete EWB

Could someone assist me with getting a referral for WGU. I'm about to call to sign up soon, so in a rush. Thanks...
I can be reached via email MODERATED (That's the best way). I'm not sure if I can find my own profile here (like I said.. newbee here).
I've worked in IT for 22 years, and am out of work for the first time in my career. I'd really appreciate the help guys.
Thanks,
John

Sent you PM!
I'm a long time reader, but just signed up recently. Discovered WGU while searching for a technical school. Spent a few days reading reviews around the web and finally found these threads about WGU on TE
I'm just starting a new job, so as soon as I have enough save up, i'm gonna spend it on WGU. Plan on studying Information Technology—Networks Design & Management, so if anyone could please send me an invite, i'd greatly appreciate it.
Thank you all.
The email option is faster for new members who want a referral since they can control that through their profile.
thanks. I thought it was enable when i signed in. Just double check and fixed it. It's all good now.
thanks
