Lost access to SAN volume

Hello,

long story short.. my manager decided to stop the share for one of our SAN server volumes. All I have now is a .VHD of the drive partition. I open the MS iSCSI Target (v3.0.1983),and it shows up in devices as Virtual Disk 6 / Description = diskname / size = 19.5.31GB / Status = in use / Access by = TAR-diskname

It shows locally mounted as I:\. When I try to open it, it wants to format the drive.

any ideas?

Have you tried mounting the disk using something like VirtualServer 2005's VHDMount? You can install just VHDMount. I'm just hoping taking iSCSI out of the situation might help...

VHDMOUNT /m [/f] h:\folder\virtualpart.vhd [L:\]
