True true ... I'd love to do either CCNA or VCAP. CCNA is probably more in demand whereas VCAP is what I probably enjoy most .. .

Guess I go what I enjoy most :p

I completely agree. Well, sort of. Work towards both like me :)

I guess the VCAP may start appearing in job listings in the future. It's a newish cert and people are just about getting used to the MCITP........

My main motivation with the VCAP is enjoyment/interest, learning some of the more obscure elements of vSphere as well as trying to distinguish myself a little bit from the ever increasing number of VCPs in the world. I'm loving it to be honest, VMware is pretty much all that floats my boat at the moment.

I work on vSphere cluster every day which is great and I enjoy - just today I installed two new cluster for customer and comissioned two Dell SANs so I am in my element .... I am also happy that my company buys all the trainsignal CBTs, Troubleshooting and PowerCLI has been shipped today \o/

I've seen some listing with it, but not as a requirement. It more of a preferred cert listing. It will take some time to come around. I think there are less than 250 each of the VCAP-DCD and VCAP-DCA's right now and some people hold both.
    CERTS: VCDX #110 / VCAP-DCA #500 (v5 & 4) / VCAP-DCD #10(v5 & 4) / VCP 5 & 4 / EMCISA / MCSE 2003 / MCTS: Vista / CCNA / CCENT / Security+ / Network+ / Project+ / CIW Database Design Specialist, Professional, Associate
