Tshoot tomorrow

So I had a couple free hours tomorrow due to a doctor appointment. With everyone passing tshoot by a landslide or failing terribly I thought I might take a crack at it.

I just finished the CBTNuggets for Tshoot and Routing TCP/Ip Volume 2 (volume 1 finished last month). I also built out the environment from Cisco's site as best I could. I probably should be taking this more serious than I am. Normally I put in 3-4 months per exam.. at least. But given SOO many people reporting near perfect scores I thought I had better check it out.

At the very least I'll know what I am up against better.

Any last second recommendations?

Ready EVERY ticket scenario carefully.

Take your time. If a single ticket is giving you trouble, abort and move on to another one.

Alright, NDA prevents me from sharing my score. BUT! Not perfect, but quite high. Without a doubt the easiest Cisco exam I have ever taken. If you can pass Route and switch you can pass this!

BUT! One trick, you NEED to know the topology. I HIGHLY recommend building it out at home at least twice. Memorize the subnet/ips/router names etc. They hardly gave me enough time, I finished with only 5 minutes to spare and I don't think I was ever "stuck" once. It was just that things take time to sift through.

So! Officially a CCNP!

Not sure I am going to return to any more certs for now. Stopped seeing value with my MCSE just didn't know where else to go. I might sit back and really learn a programming language and get into an opensource project.

Agreed. Make sure you know the L3 AND L2 topology

I don't know. The experience isn't there to back up the cert. So I might be able to invest a year in that and pass. But I really wouldn't be able to back it up. Right now I am getting GREAT linux/scripting experience so I think I should leverage that. That makes sense...I'm probably going to end up doing the same thing after I finish the CCNP. Going to lay off cisco for a bit and learn powershell.
