Fail to install CUCM 7x on ESXi 5 from vSphere client: OS not found

I installed a Windows 2003 DC just fine. It was loaded from an ISO file after I changed the boot sequence. But somehow ESXi5 just won't detect CUCM 7x ISO. Have you experienced similar problems?

CD/DVD: CUCM 7x ISO file on Datastore 1; connect at power on: Checked
BIOS boot sequence: CDROM then hard drive then whatever.

I always get:
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
Operating System not found

I know these ISOs are good coz I built CUCM server before on VMware workstation successfully. VMware workstation 7 can still detect these ISO just fine. I am wondering what's wrong with ESXi?? Thanks a lot!

Asked installation team guru today. He said go to CUCM 8.5 or better 8.6

. Looks like 7x is not really supported on ESXi 5. Unfortunately I don't have 8.5/8.6 ISOs. I will roll back to ESXi 4.1 tonight. Hopefully I don't have to go back to ESXi 3.5.

I didn't know these UCM 7x8x ISO files are non-bootable. Before I installed them only on VMware Workstation 7, no problem at all. But on bare metal ESXi 5, I had to insert boot info from a bootable DVD or ISO to my ISO files. Then ESXi detects them fine.

I see you already possess your CCVP and I think CCIE Lab uses 7 for the blue print, but I could be wrong.
