A+ 701-702 deadline?

I read in the comptia A+ facebook page that the new exams comes out in 10/2012... anyone confirm? if i take my 701 end of next month then the 802 comes out, do i have to take 802?

I don't believe you can pass a 700 exam and couple it with an 800 exam. You'll have to pass either two 700 exams or two 800 exams.

It is my understanding that the 700 exams will not retire until 8/2013

YFZblu is correct. You have plenty of time to take the 701 and 702 exams before they expire on August 31, 2013. Also, you cannot mix and match the exams. If you take 701 you need to take 702 but you have more than a year to do so.

Oh i thought the 700 exam will be gone once 800 comes out... i was freakjng out that i have to restudy when getting good in my computer hardware history lol
