Icnd1 - study

What should you study more of when doing the icnd1 exam. Should I study a lot on the seven layers and how they work, tcp/ip, subnetting or others. I can not seem to move away from the seven layers (thinking I need to know everything about before moving on).

OSI layers are important. It gives you the fundemantel of everything in networking. But also Switches, Subnetting, Routing and WAN also important part of CCENT.

Identify security threats to a network and describe general methods to mitigate those threats

Explain today's increasing network security threats and the need to implement a comprehensive security policy to mitigate the threats
Explain general methods to mitigate common security threats to network devices, hosts, and applications

Describe security recommended practices including initial steps to secure network devices

Implement and verify WAN links

Describe different methods for connecting to a WAN
Configure and verify a basic WAN serial connection

You need to do/know all of that. I can't be bothered to read it again but I only remember doing switchport security on ICND1. VTP, STP is left to ICND2.
