Passed R&S and Security!

Passed my R&S and Security writtens this morning, back to back. Happy to finally be getting this double CCIE stuff out of the way.

Obviously this CCIE stuff hasn't distracted me too much from my MCM studies. I'm sitting for MCM Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory tomorrow.

Well, that's all I have time for today. I've got PMP at 11:00 and GSE at 2:00. Wish me luck!

WOW! That is amazing. How do you manage doing all that at once?

Nice job! I'm in the middle of my CCIE lab right now. Piece of CAKE!

Yeah, the RFC 1149 stuff was especially easy. Don't want to break NDA, but let's just say I wish I'd focused more on RFC 3514 implementation.

Great work! And OUCH! It's going to be intense studying for two labs at the same time. Good luck with your studies for the next 18 months or so. Do you have any plan in place or organizational hints for us future CCIE goers?

I have both labs booked for the end of the month. It shouldn't be too tough.

Not much studying needed. I sleep with headphones on playing audio books written by CCIEs and narrated by cast members of Star Trek: ToS.

I thought taking two different CCIE written exams back-to-back on the same day as PMP and GSE while "not being distracted" from my MCM AD studies was pretty implausible, but apparently not enough.

In a related story, several people on Facebook are convinced I accepted the position of "Chief of Software Design" at Google today, with one of the deciding factors being my "above average Starcraft skills."

Yes, the absurdity of me in particular working on even one CCIE right now was lost on people who might not know what I've been up to. That's why I threw in the rest. I figured more people would realize what a ridiculous accomplishment MCM is (call it Microsoft's CCIE) and that there's just no way anyone would be working on MCM and CCIE concurrently. I'd be shocked if there are any CCIEs with any interest in MCM. But hey, no complaints. Successful April Fool's was successful!

lulz, I don't care if I knew you were a single man with $1,000,000,000 in the bank w/ no debt and had 10's hanging off each arm. Nobody is going to sit two CCIE writtens back to back.

There was a rumor about a guy who tried to pass the R&S and the SP labs within a week of each other (in an attempt to break the record for shortest time between lab passes in different tracks)-- but the story goes that he actually failed.
