Just so there's context, I'm the owner of an iPhone 5, iPad 4, a cough, cough Blackberry Playbook (my job gave it to me) and a former HP Touchpad (with Ice Cream loaded on it) owner. The Nexus 7 is the best small Android tablet. If you're using it to study, it allows the drag and drop of videos and books. There's a Nook, Kindle and Safari app. My only qualms are as an iOS user (product construction, app selection, etc). But it's a great tablet for the price. I wouldn't buy a Samsung Tab, Nexus 7 2012, Nook HD (though they are on sale for a good price), Kindle Fire or iPad Mini with the Nexus 7 2013. I'm sure Amazon, Apple and Samsung will have something in the coming months.
