icon_cheers.gificon_cheers.gificon_cheers.gifThe big Triad of CompTIA certificates has finally been accomplished!! icon_cheers.gificon_cheers.gificon_cheers.gif

Just took it today and got an 827/900. :) I didn't have any of my books but I did have my notes I took from class time, and used CBT Nuggets as a fresher. I finally feel relieved in getting my Network+ now that I can focus on the bigger certs. I plan on testing for CCNA or at least my CCENT by the end of next month. I already started studying ICND1 but still have a lot more to take in.

Thou I am focusing on Cisco, I plan to come back to CompTIA for Health IT and Linux+. I was wondering if anyone had experience and advice in testing for those. I'm still pretty new with Linux, would Linux+ really help learning the differ Flavors and worth the time to study?? Everyone else that has yet to test, I wish you the best of luck. \m/

For the Linux+ use a Debian flavored Distro as well as a RHEL flavored Distro.

I personally used Debain, CENTOS, and openSUSE.

Be sure to know your commands, as navigating the GUI won't help you much on these exams.

    Besides the Distros, i used:

    Linux in a Nutshell

Congrats on the pass and good luck with future endeavors! icon_thumright.gif

    REMOVED UNNECESSARY QUOTE

Well I am currently using or should I say learning how to use BTr3 and Kali Linux, would these two be a good way to prepare for the Exam??

Kali is fine, thats your Debian based flavor. Backtrack is also a Debian flavored Distro. So I would recoomend either CENTOS or Fedora to get your hands on a RHEL flavored Distro.

Nicely done! I am hoping to do the same myself by the end of the year. I'm still debating whether to pursue Linux+ as well, after the main trio is complete.
