Reason to move past ITIL Foundations?

Hi
Just wondering what would be some of the reasons to move past the ITIL Foundations?
If you make it to expert level, what kind of role could one expect? Or would one expect to solely train and write training books?
Who has gone beyond the ITIL foundations? Was it worth it?
How difficult are the tests after Foundations?

I have several friends in management consulting who act in ITSM & process improvement advisory positions - I can say that they have found it very worthwhile. I do not know the answers to any other questions, though. -

I really found the Service Transition helpful. At the time I was working as project/operational manager and studying for my PMP. The organization I was working for was a big ITIL shop and I ended up stopping my PMP studies and going for ST. I also did Service Operation and found that particular piece of the life cycle not very valuable. A lot of it was common sense and already industrialized in IT organizations.
