Anyone on in TE involved in DevOps? Just to be clear I mean the some-what loosely defined set of methodologies that generally include the following attributes:
- Use of some sort of Agile methodology like Scrums
- Continuous delivery/deployment (I.E. increasing the rate of production releases from application and business unit stakeholders)
- Wide availability of (private?) cloud infrastructure
- Producing or customizing data center automation and configuration management tools
Not a generic definition of an IT pro who can do PowerShell or Python/Bash scripts to automate common tasks.
I am mostly curious about how the shifts in mindset required for DevOps has changed your company's cultures, what you found most challenging on a personal level, and what your team found most challenging. Any replies would be heartily welcome.
