Hopefully you're doing one of the classes with an actual NetApp employee as an instructor, the third party ones that I've been to are terrible. If you haven't already I would take a look through the FlexPod CVD too. I've designed and implemented a few FlexPod and personally I don't think anyone should take that guide and deploy it verbatim, it's more of a baseline, but it's a good way to see how the pieces fit together.
