Passed EX436 exam today. Quite fun with a clustering :) But beware and double-check EVERYTHING.
Official score 300 out of 300 :D

    It's on RHEL6.5 - use book from 2013 not from 2012 icon_wink.gif

    I'm working as Storage and Network Admin in one of the worldwide financial companies.
    I have 16 years of experience in IT and I'm working mostly with Linux and NetBackup environments. And I have an extensive knowledge in Windows area (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL Server)
    I have some experience with Linux clustering, HP-UX clustering and Windows Hyper-V/RHEV/VMWare virtualization as well as in Cisco networking and Juniper Networking.

    Official course book, RedHat docs, kvm/qemu with 3 virtual machines on CentOS 6.5
    And that's all.
    No official training - just my own lab and a few (~20) evenings :)

    My colleague from my company was on the training. And the training book is available in my company resources. There is no need to copy/scan the book - I have the genuine book from RedHat course.
    You know - some people need training, other can learn by themselves using books :)

    I hear you. Wish I can get hold of those books!

    Good work! I worked with Netbackup under Solaris....but It's been a while since I touched that. I worked with Sun Cluster as well, but haven't touched RHEL cluster. I wonder if I'll ever get a chance to work in an environment where there is RHEL cluster.

    What's your future career plans if I may ask? I'm asking because I'm trying to figure out my next step. I have about half of your experience ;)

    I have complete set of books for RHCA 6 path so the next steps are:
    - EX401
    - EX200 on RHEL7
    - EX210
    - EX300 on RHEL7
    And this will be sufficient for an RHCA.Next logical step should be RHCA Level 2 with EX236, EX280 and maybe some JBoss certs.

    On the other side I should finish the CCNx DC and Security paths. But I'm also looking to get JNCIE-SEC in 2 or 3 years.

    I'm also working with NetBackup 7.5/7.6 but I don't have a time to get another cert with Backup Exec and finish Symantec Certified Professional path...

    I was a consultant and support engineer for a few years. I thought about becoming a trainer or maybe independent contractor in the near future. And I also thought about moving to Australia but this will stay in my dreams :)

    Ha same here, I was a support engineer and a consultant for a while, got sick of driving to customer and thought a more relaxed job in one place is easier, yet I'm always thinking what's next!
