2 weeks until 70-410

Feel pretty confident about it. Work got me a cbt nuggets sub, paid for me to do the 5 day course and I brought mastering server 2012.

I Have been studying for around 6 weeks and I use server 2008 r2 at work.

I Plan on sitting the exam in a couple of weeks after spending another 40 hours or so labbing and working through the practice exams.

Well good luck on taking the exam. I plan to take the exam at the end of the month. This will be my second time around so I been reading both my books 70-410 one and mastering windows server 2012 r2 book i bought. Just finding a good lab to build is always good. Where did you get your lab layout from?

I copied the topology from the 5 day course as best I could and created snapshots to revert back to.. I have teething issues but troubleshooting those issues I am finding is as beneficial as doing the labs exercises.

Is that lab tutorial online that I could check out?

Not that I'm aware of. It's essentially the environment you work in when doing the 5 day Microsoft training course.

They give you a book with lab exercises and you just work your way through it.

There is no tutorial on setting up the lab.. The tutorials are for what you do in the lab. It's the official Microsoft course material book so I can not give that out.

Apologies for the confusion. Once im dome with the exam I might take a few hours to re-make and document out a process for building a lab.

I have my final 2 days of the off8cial Microsoft course this weekend and plan to take the exam the following weekend so I won't have time until some point after that.

Passed with a 775. Going to spend a few weeks on powershell and a couple of other things before moving onto the 70-411

Question on your book mastering server 2012 r2 did you read the whole book or did you pick certain chapters based on the the outline of the exam?

I picked certain chapters. Basically depending on the wrong answers I got in the practice exam I'd re-watch the cbt nuggets video and read the chapter of the mastering book ..

It's way too big to read cover to cover so I'd use it as a reference only. Well written book though.

I'll continue to use it in the same way for the rest of the mcsa

Well I'm sorta reading each chapter since some of the outlines are all mixed in the book. It's to bad there's not a list of which chapters you need to read for the 7-410...My exam is next month we will see how do I ... I'm wishing i do well. just feel like i'm going slow and stuff ...

What other resources do you have? I found cbt nuggets awesome. Worth the money.. Thankfully work brought me a one year sub. Based on answers I'd get wrong I'd deep dive into a bit more.
Re watch the nugget, read that corresponding chapter etc..

It's just trying to find what works for you I guess.. For me doing and watching is how I learn.. I don't retain much reading..

I'm the say way. I learn from watching and doing things. Reading is some what helpful some times. I have access to cbtnuggets and stuff. Have 2 other books I have. I think i do have enough resource even the mastering windows server 2012 r2 book that everyone is saying is good. I guess I just need to work on what I have and stick to it.
