I've already taken the O365 70-346 this past week through work (before knowing about the freebies)

O365 is a good thing to learn up on; I am quite enjoying it!

Scott - I have been my company O365 admin for the past half year and am slated to take the 70-346 in a week. Any advice or resources you used to pass would be most helpful. Thanks!

For those taking the 70-346 and 70-347 exams, what study materials are you using?

I am using MVA primarily (there are a bunch of courses with the category "Office 365") and PluralSight videos on Office 365. I am wondering what books are out right now. Currently for reading I am just reviewing TechNet.

Awesome. How did you first hear about this? I generally keep my ear pretty close to the ground and this took me by surprise.

    Appreciate the heads up. +1

Nabbed a couple of them, hoping to do 70-346 and 70-347 the same day since I'll have to drive almost 2 hours to take them.

Howdy! -- I as well have been administering a fair amount of O 365 stuff over the past couple years.

I started first by doing the CBTNuggets Videos for the MOS 77-891 -- Just the second and third videos have any relevancy to this exam, and it isn't exact but it was a good start. I had working knowledge but I was just doing what I was trained at work, I didn't actually know really what I was doing. So those two videos are about 1 hour total. Easy.

I then did the MVA course for Managing Identities and Services: Office 365 Training Course | Microsoft Virtual Academy

This course is about 9 hours, and it has some fluff, but it covers most of the exam.

The exam itself wasn't entirely difficult. Fair amount of drag and droppers and powershell stuff. The powershell stuff is pretty easy to figure out as long as you have experience with syntax and whatnot. No lab stuff. Some of wrong answers are pretty easy to eliminate right off the bat.

    Make sure you know:
The differences between all the plans of Office 365, the benefits of each ect.
The technology as it pertains to how which part runs on what ect ect
Understand how each administrator role is utilized.
    Understand DirSync
Understand the differences between E1, E2, E3 and E4 plans
Understand how it works with Active Directory (either through Azure or On-Premesis)

I will say that I had a little leg up because I took the 74-325 a month ago and there was quite a bit of overlap between that exam and this one.

During the videos on MVA, search technet for the topics. There is literally an article about every single thing they talk about.

I'd also like to add that Technet Virtual Labs has 16 workable labs that helps you train on Office 365 - They aren't exactly tied in with the exams but they are pretty solid, I forgot I did all those several times as well..

Got an email from my monthly MCP newsletter about this the other day. I wasn't even remotely studying for these but I booked the 70-346 exam (since it's the only one I am kind of interested in) for the 27th. I will take a free exam any day!

Right now reading a lot of TechNet articles on O365 and the MVA O365 Identities and Services module (good info on these) for this exam.

That is exactly what I did -- It really wasn't an especially difficult exam, however the 347 appears to have less material...

As mentioned before, work made me take the 74-325 O365 compentency exam and that had a lot of bleed with the 346

I passed both the 70-346 and the 70-347 this afternoon. The 70-347 was more difficult than the 70-346. At work we are a Microsoft Partner and we have lots of clients on Office 365, so this seemed like a no-brainer since it was free. I've got the 70-533 scheduled for next month.

I used the material from Scott in the forum. I also watched the MVA videos as well as did the virtual labs related to provisioning Office 365

Since you work for a partner you should consider getting the 74-325 done. It is essentially an easier version of the 346, and you get a Microsoft Specialist for passing -- and it helps your works competencies

Why would a supervisor care one way or the other? Does it affect your company's Microsoft partner level?

I seriously don't (maybe show me off to prospect clients??). I'm coming from a Linux/Dev, OS X background moved to a different state, found a job in a MS/Linux Shop. My boss vision wants me to be the jack of all trades. I have been studying for 3 days, a minimum of 8 hours non stop. I watched all the MVA, PluralSight videos, I read most of the objectives in Technet and then converted them to a PDF. Used my droid tablet with a Text to Speech engine to read the book while I'm lounging. I created random notes in a Mind Mapping software and Anki. I feel I'm ready to A's the 70-346. I haven't take a look at 70-347 which I'm planning to take in 21st.

I agree with Tprice - this O 365 isn't even included in any partner requirements... only the 74-325 is, and that is only for the small business partner requirement...

Anyone have any vouchers they will not be using that I can snag up?
Not sure if the vouchers are transferable or not... perhaps they are?

    Thanks in advance!

Don't think they are transferable.. there are no more available? I fell bad, I grabbed a couple then couldn't get a prometric center within 200 km to test with so scrapped the idea
