Getting ready to start studying for CAPM.
I have qualified for educational requirements and understand now I need to apply for taking exam and pay.

Even though I have taken course want to get some input on what are best books to purchase.

I am studying the 5th edition, any word when 6th edition may come out?

In the future, but not now I may consider PMP.

thanks!!!

    Choosing the following to study:

    1. PMI CMBOK. Want to refer to the true source since purpose
    2. Rita's CAPM study guide. - saw recommendation for this
    3. PMP head first - looks like good resource to help dig deeper into concepts I want to understand
    4. Ed2go PMP and project management courses. PMI credit courses for educational requirement
The courses help give me pace and force me to keep making some progress
    5. Cbt nuggets - CAPM
Work provides. Course will be good supplement

plan to read about subject, then listen to cbtnuggets, then maybe different book, cbtnuggets 2nd time.

More about study to learn new concepts than just getting cert.

    You'll be fine with that.

I passed the CAPM years ago, I believe it last 7 years so I still technically have it.

I think I'll follow your path. When do you plan on taking it?

    I am planning for December.
taking slow as do not want to not just rush.
workload at work is great amount too.
i have become member of PMI. I've missed some great webinars which would have helped me.
They do have some nice material and resources available with membership.
i have not applied for exam yet and paid for exam, but plan on doing this next week.
keep me posted if you anything that would benefit me and others.

Found a nice site with additional course study info for CAPM.
    check out www.udemy.org.
Joseph Phillips course is good. It goes deeper than cbtnuggets.
He has nice memory **** which hi lights key math formulas, terms need to know.
i was able to find discount code for $15.
so, you get with his course, videos, memory ****, flash cards and learning games.
there are also discussion threads to ask instructor questions.
    Definitely worth it.

You don't have to read the PMBOK to pass test. I would just used the Rita study guide and test simulator.

Brainbok.com is a nice alternative as well.
