Anyone studying for their VCP550?

I am in Stanley now for the vcp class. Once it is over I plan on going through the cbt nuggets video and read mastering VMware 5.5 to work on taking the vcp550 exam.

Is anyone planning on studying for the vcp 550 too?

I'm still going to take the VCP 550, since that's what I took the class for back in 2013. Once I do, though, the first thing on the to-do list is to upgrade it to VCP6

I did heaps on 5.x and 5.5 and did the VCP6 exam instead. If you have already sat the course for 5.x, then you're best route is to do the VCP 5 and then sit the VCP6 delta exam as you will not need to sit an "upgrade" course. Which I will now need to do.

For your first VCP level exam, the major version of the training and exam/certification must match - so if you train on vSphere 5 (5.0 or 5.1 or 5.5) you only meet the training requirement for VCP5-DCV (which you gain by passing either the VCP510 or VCP550 exams)

I'm taking the Stanly VCP 5.5 course currently as well. I'm going to make it a priority to be certified VCP 5.

You could take the exam, but you won't get the certification - that's exactly what I meant when I said the major version had to match.

I've done the Stanly course too, it was on 5.1 but im doing 550 exam.
After you do the course and if you meet the requirement (i.e dont miss a load of the labs) then you should get a 70% off voucher for the exam.
You'll use it against the vcp550PSE exam, its the same exam just PSE is the educational version-so seek approval from vmware for that version.
Im doing the exam in a few weeks and using the cbt nuggests and scott lowe book, good luck with yours!
