Hi everyone,
I took the exam today...and really surprised I failed as bad as I did. I had used Ubuntu as my main desktop for nearly six months (swapped back to Windows), have quite a bit of experience administrating CentOS and RHEL web servers (they were for projects, not work related). I had also been using the Sybex study guide and seemed to be doing quite well in their test questions, I also picked up a copy of "
How Linux Works" by Brian Ward which I found gave very in-depth knowledge and would say explained the exam topics much better than the Sybex guide.
Getting to the point, how have you prepared for the exam? I had been using VM's both Ubuntu and CentOS for preparing it seemed to me I was lacking in knowing the obscure switches for commands not really used on a daily basis. Does anyone know of anywhere to get lab examples to practice these commands? Or, how do you practice using commands and remembering the switches?
It's an odd exam to train for having to remember some many commands and all the switches that go with them, seems quite overwhelming.
Thank for your help
