Are these switches ok for CCNP labs?

Saw these on Ebay
Just want to know what you guys think of these for CCNP R&S Switch Labs?

I say the preference would be for a "ts" model instead of a "ps" model as a ts model can run version 15 of the ios. But, I'd still say the 3560 ps is better than a 3550.

prices are a bit more for the TS

if I were to buy 3550.. Would that be enough to do my CCNP ?

These will cover everything through CCNP. Normally, I would go with the 3560-24TS as they will cover CCIE also, but that price is very good.

Short answer...NO. The 3550 will not do IPv6, VTPv3, or Private VLANs. Any 3560 or 3750 will suffice for CCNP.

Wonder why people on CBT and stuff say a 3550 is ok then

What about 2960 ? Go for the TS to?

3550 does MOST things on CCNP and they're cheap which is why they are often recommended.

Ideally, a 3560 is better.

As ^^^ said, it will do a good portion of the stuff, but not everything and while they have come down substantially in price, the 3560 used to be a lot more expensive, which is why I started with 3550s before switching to 3560s. I could get 3550s at the time for under $50, but a 3560 would have cost me $200 or more.

2013: $200
2014: $150
2015: $50-100

This is the same reason you will still see a lot of folks recommending the 2600XM series of router. Up until 2014, the newer routers were cost prohibitive.
