Yes, great news for me. I had to renew 4 certifications this year. And in 3 years time, I am supposed to renew 8 certifications. -

A very welcome change:- All CPE activities completed within four years of your certification expiration are now eligible for credit.

Much better system than the last archaic, confusing, and expensive one. I was actually planning on letting mine expire because it was just too much to figure out what to do and how to do it. Now I'll gladly renew. -

Sounds like a better deal for keeping certs from dying.
But I have to see how that affects the Masters of Information Security Management program where I have to take a bunch of SANS cert courses over 3 years.... But of course, a Masters Degree doesn't expire.
