Boss just approved GCIH course

I got an email from SANS the other day stating that on demand is 25% off through january so I approached my boss with the compelling argument of "$850 off." This point was appealing enough for him to approve the GCIH self study material and test challenge. From what I've read about the course I'm excited. Now the worst part is waiting for the books

Awesome man. Do you have a target test date yet or do you usually wait until after you have read the material?

On another note, do you think that the release of the ECIH EC-Council | Certified Incident Handler will cause a price drop (assuming that the ECIH is cheaper, which I think it will be)?

I doubt it will lower the cost of the gcih, sans beats their own drum. Ill take it four months after I get the material in. You have that long to take it.

Awesome dude. I'm still waiting on my company as far as the OnDemand GCIA. I think I might take OSCP on my own bill just to do it while I'm waiting. I think I could knock it out pretty quick.

I hate playing the waiting game

I had to get our accountant to mail SANS a check because I can't run my credit card dry due to several upcoming on-sites. Now I have to wait for them to get their check then wait for the books. At least I'll get online access instantly.

I just replied to your thread with some advice regarding doing your own study of the GCIA material until your course gets approved. Check that out.

I got the email too but i'm officially christmas poor. And work is being very stingy this year. I like the 3.0 on demand alot though.

You may as well go for the GSE now
