GCIH Question

Hi,

I am new to this forum, i am thinking about adding some Sans qualifications starting with the GCIH exam.

As i have never done any Sans exams can i just pay for the exam buy the books and study myself, or like VMware do i have to sit a course and then the exam.

And for the current exam what would be the recommended books and study material.

You can pay to just challenge the exam. However you cannot get the official SANS books without paying for the class.

No probs thanks for clarifying that, just expensive as i had to pay for all my other certs and quals.

There is the SANS Self Study option, which appears to be the most inexpensive of the GIAC exam study options offered by SANS.
