They took my picture a few months back.Wish i had known before because i wouldn't have settled with an eyepatch.A paper bag would have been more fitting for me I just checked my history at Vue and my last test 3weeks ago and my first test late last summer on my CCSP track are not there. They are registered with Cisco and i… -
Re: ISCW Study Material
Yep, they're taking down the safety net for the last couple of CCNP Exams. Definitely use the Exam Blueprint as a guide and fill in any gaps between the Exam Cert Guide and the Blueprint with the Cisco Documentation and White Papers. The Quick Reference Sheets are also good to use with the Exam Blueprint for getting an… -
Re: beginning to study for security +
All in all, I'd say it depends on what you do. As a sysad, my next logical step really is to finish my MCSE, and kick it up a notch to MCSE + Security (which adds two tests on top of the original 5 ) but it comes with the territory. I also know of a net admin guy who was also voluntold to be an associate IA person (as I… -

Re: Recommend a book with CCENT exam practice questions?
Besides the testing software from Boson, PrepLogic, Transcender you can get the CCNA Flash Cards and Exam Practice Pack (CCENT Exam 640-822 and CCNA Exams 640-816 and 640-802), 3rd Edition from Cisco Press. In the past I think Boson has done the Cisco Press Test Engine. I picked up the PrepLogic questions (from their… -
Re: Learning Cisco ASA
You can use a full ASA image, (GNS3 0.7.2), the previous versions of GNS3 only ran PIX. UPDATE: I have just checked and I have version 8.0.2 running in GNS3 right now Here is the link on the GNS 3 site to get it up and running.. I found version 7 of the ASA image works fine, and some people have had issues with version 8.… -
Re: SSCP and CISSP - Study Planning
Thanks. The 2 month break is really a preference thing. You can take up to 3. With doing so, I can take a month off and then study for a month towards the next class or two coming back into the program. I figured maybe taking that a step further and studying for 2 months, taking the CISSP and then jumping into to clear the… -
Re: CISSP Testing Engines
You just got back and already added CISSP to your signature. You have not even done the endorsement process. But, you could be Associate CISSP, but you signature says full blown CISSP. I am confused. What if you get audited? CertificationsBS:CSIA, A+/N+/S+, ECIH, ECES, ITIL:F v3, CCNA:R&S, CISSP, SSCP, CCSP Once an (ISC)²… -
What certification should I undertake next?
I'm currently a security engineer that gets involved in producing security design artifacts and provide general security consultancy. This is reflected in my wide variety of certifications (see signature). I was studying for CCSP and I was exam ready but I have rescheduled that for the end of the year due to the… -
Onward and Upward...
So I've been doing infosec for the last few years and I've come to a cross roads. I've been promoted recently and have a great relationship with my current employer. There just doesn't appear to be a technical growth path from here. I want to move up while I'm in my prime ;) . The only caveat is that I can't relocate due…
