Re: New Requirements for CISSP.
Any word on the % of test passers that were audited? I understand if that's proprietary information. Would making the audit process mandatory rather than random be a viable solution? Rather than create a work overload, maybe there is a way that current CISSP's in good standing could be required to help in the audit… -
Re: New Requirements for CISSP.
I am planning to take the CISSP exam, but still not sure whether my masters degree in Information Assurance and a Microsoft Certified Professional certification will be sufficient for me to qualify. I am currently working as an IT Systems Analyst with 2 years experience, but have been in the IT field for close to 7 years… -
Re: New Requirements for CISSP.
Don't pretend you missed my points, you didn't. All I am saying is that the "networking" requirement with other CISSP's does not necessarily make you a better security professional. It may only accomplish more bias. The other point was given as an example to point out that bias is not currently in short supply. -

It's kind of a PKI of professional attitude and aptitude, previously Managers and existing CISSPs were trusted CAs, come October… -

I'm not so sure about that especially considering… -
Re: New Requirements for CISSP.
But these are not requirements for taking the exam. You can have zero InfoSec experience and still take the CISSP or SSCP exams. Upon passing, you will be awarded the Associate designation and not the full cert. The Associate of the (ISC)2 was created for people graduating college that do not have much or any InfoSec… -
Re: New Requirements for CISSP.
It's good to see a set date, finally. I talked to the booth-rep from (ISC)2 at the RSA conference this year, and I she was telling me about these new requirements for the CISSP. I spent quite a good deal of time at the booth actually, but I couldn't get a date, (nor could I get a timeframe for the new requirements becoming… -
Re: New Requirements for CISSP.
Hi All. Apologies if this has been asked before. I am a MCITP and MCSA with the security elective. I have worked in IT for 10 years, in no specfic domain, as it where - i have experience in most if not all of the domains required, and i have someone ( i think ) who will certify my work who is already a CISSP. Is this all i…
