Re: Linux+ Can my expectations be met?
The beauty about Linux is that it can run on pretty much any PC you have. Only way to learn is to just load it up on your computer open up the terminal and go through the different commands. You don't have to spend an arm and leg to understand the operating system. I would use the exam objectives for the Linux+ and RHCSA.… -

Re: Completed A+
Yes, i did not find them very difficult. I used the Sybex Fastpass book for 220-601 / 302 / 603 / 604. http://www.amazon.com/CompTIA-%2B-Complete-Fast-Emmett-Dulaney/dp/0470048328/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1201205761&sr=8-3 I think the book did a good job of reviewing everything. Its a good book if you know the… -

You will too see the challenges that come with the Sec+ exam if it is your first time… -
Re: just got my ass kicked
Practice tests, generally by Transcender, Testout, Preplogic, and on this website are pretty good. That ExamCram book will be a lot of help. I also work with Sybex books when preparing for exams and they are great too! At any rate, your experience will help you a lot once you get used to how CompTIA examines you. The… -
Re: Failed Security+ Help!!!
I bought the CompTIA bundle which included the CertMaster software which has over 800 questions over the material of the objectives, a Sec+ exam voucher, and a retake Sec+ exam voucher, all for like $378. I didn't need the retake due to scoring a 786 on the exam. CompTIA Marketplace I also participated on YouTube channel… -
Re: A+ Brief Study Guide?
@bankintheroll, I would start with the objectives. It is good to know more, but if it is not on the objectives the material won't be scored (it may appear on the exam as a beta question for a new release). We have two stickies at the top of the forum, grant it, dated, but will get you a solid foundation.… -
Re: CTT+
I'm loathe to bump an old thread...but I wanted to report that I received good news today. I passed the CTT+! CompTIA sent the following score report: 4-1A: Review Learning Objectives and Match them to Learner and Organizational Needs 4-1B: Create an Environment Conducive to Learning 3-2A: Select and Implement Delivery…
