Re: Looking for some advice, any help is appreciated.
Hello there and welcome to the forum! You've come to a great place for advice. I am sorry to hear about your current situation. You sound like a very bright and talented individual who was dealt a difficult situation. No one deserves that kind of abuse and I can only imagine how difficult of decision it is for you to drop… -
Re: Best Book for CCENT and CCNA?
My two cents: I don't know if there's ever a "best" way to prepare for anything because you're always going to encounter surprises. This comes from my experience in getting my CompTIA certification. When I went to Amazon to get a book for the ICND1, I looked at customer ratings, publication date, and whether the book came… -
Re: Pharming and Spam attack
Welcome to the forums WangMichael. Is this a question from a bank of practice test questions? If so, I'm curious if it has any explanations. Practice test questions without explanations often have errors and this is an example. A is correct and B isn't even close. The danger of using practice test questions without… -
Re: Hi all
You are very welcome here. There are a lot of people on TechExams that have a quite a bit of diverse information to share. With only four days before your exam you should already be able to understand and answer most of the practice questions yourself. The CWNA is a rather difficult exam (that is, more difficult than any… -
Re: Virtual Labs for hardware

Re: Network Admin Job
Actually you have stated opinions, I didn't see a single "fact". But opinions are okay, and I believe you didn't intend to belittle anyone. Let's leave it at that. You can be a network admin with or without any certs or education. In general though, if you are going to manage servers (assuming Windows of course) employers… -
Re: LX0-101 type part, some doubts !!
Took 101 today and made a 760. The fill in the blanks were definitely a tad confusing on how they would be scored. IMO i think there are several correct answers for some of them and you just need to put one to get credit. ie, yum.repos.d or dmesg. It will specify if it wants a full path or just the command itself or a… -
Re: Zero Day Attacks
I kinda think both of those questions are kinda bullshit... You don't implement good security policy or awareness training to protect your organization from zero-day attacks. Zero day attacks by definition have no effective countermeasure. By definition, the only risk management option in this case is risk acceptance.… -
Re: Where to go from here?
Danh: Linux+ is entry level/beginner - the current version of Linux+ is going to be retired as it is getting outdated ( now 0 - 6 mos exp.) - the new Linux+ will require 6 - 12 mos exp. working in the Linux environment. It's a good Cert - and CompTIA is widely recognized. LPI - two exams for LPIC-1 ( www.lpi.org ) and are… -
Re: A+ certification process...
I believe you'll find most of the answers to your questions about the exam at the Comptia site. You can register for the test at vue.com or prometric.com Some people like to use testing vouchers, they can save you a little money. I don't bother trying to get them any longer (very dumb ). If you are new into IT as you…
