Both CASP and CISSP have overlapping areas and I passed both exams within 2 weeks of each other. As @bpenn mentioned, the CASP has simulations which can be challenging if you do not have hands-on experience doing infra and network security work. A couple of reasons. I was looking for a way to improve my resume while waiting for my CISSP endorsement to be approved.
