Has anyone taken the SSCP after they have already passed the CISSP? I have CISSP and lately I've seen ads for a couple of jobs that wanted SSCP for I.S. Manager positions and didn't mention CISSP. I'm wondering if I should take the SSCP. I appreciate any comments you can give. Thanks,
I would agree with the previous posters. If they know what the SSCP is, they should know the value of a CISSP (assuming). An SSCP is only good, in my opinion, as a stepping stone to the CISSP. Going the other way is kinda backwards, especially if you want a management position.
My suspicion is that: A) They don't want to pay what they expect a CISSP would earn. B) They really don't know what it is, and someone told them that SSCP is what then want. Or, they copied their requirements from someone else.
