Passed with 840
Passed Linux+ today with an 840 out of 900, 655 is passing. I used the red exam cram book which doesn't cost much. I went to a different testing center because the one I always go to didn't offer it. The new place was much nicer but was a private school and tried to get me to sign up for classes and to drop out of college…

By the skin of my teeth
After 4 1/2 months and 3 1/2 study manuals, I took Server+ exam today and passed. I was pretty confident going in. I did Transcenders and passed all exams first try--average of 80%. I reviewed a few days and did high 90's percent wise on Transcenders. That had to be the toughest exam I've ever taken. It takes 75% to pass…

Linux XVnc Terminal Server =)
Enjoy folks, feel free to ask questions, I found this over on Gentoo's forums and there's a lot of informative stuff in that thread as well: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=72893 Note: this guide is for Gentoo Linux, but it can be adapted to other linux distributions quite easily. Turning your Linux box into an…

How much overlap?
I've completed 4 of the 5 core certs (A+, Network+, iNet+, and Security+), and now I'm looking to do Server+. How much overlap from the previous 4 is there? How difficult does the Server+ rate when compared to Security+? Any insight would be appreciated.

iNet+ almost identical to Network+???
After I passed my Network+ exam last week I started testing myself with every iNet+ practice exam I could find. I passed every one with 80% - 95% marks - most of the material was stuff I had studied for Network+, and a little I new from a few years ago when I created a some web pages using Notepad. Is iNet+ actually that…

Curious Question
I just took 3 online Server+ practice Exams, and passed them with about an 80% overall. All I did was revert back to what I learned in A+. How different is the Server+ Test and the A+ Test in content? Also...is it adaptive or linear style? Who knows...I might knock this out before Net+...lol.

Study Guide Recommendations
In the past I've said I wasn't interested in the Linux+ exam because I as going to pursue the RHCE. Well, I still plan to pursue the RHCE, but given that Linux+ will allow me to gain credit for 2 more classes, I think it's worth the cash to avoid wasting 20 weeks to get credit for things I already probably know. That being…

i-net+ passed with 800; two exams in five days.
Just passed i-net+ IK0-002 today. My study book was the exam cram IK0-001 book, a little out of date but good enough. The updated test had more scripting type questions than the book let on to but other than that it was a fine study guide. Scored an 800 which isn't fantastic but not too bad. The 22nd I took my Linux+ and…

Question.. :)
I have a Linux+ study guide that has a neat "lab" in one of the appendices (sp?)... basically one of the was like: create a user, add him/her to whatever group, etc. At the bottom (if you get stuck) it tells you how to do it. Anyway, I found it an invaluable learning tool, as I'm real bad at memorizing stuff :) So I could…

re: exam drills
I have just arrived in this forum ..... thought i'd mention some fairly decent exam test software www.examdrill.com i'm not selling this, but at $24.95, its a lot cheaper than transcender etc, i have used this to success with Net+ and A+ in the past. I am doing the I Net at the minute and i just got the exam drill for that…

Passed Server+
Today I passed Server+ with a score of 85 out of 100. I did fairly well considering the fact that I thought the test was scheduled for Thursday, and instead was forced to take it today. The test was filled with questions relating to RAID level 5 (Probably 12 out of the 80). My Exam Cram book, which is very poorly written,…
