After CCNA, a CCNP or CCSP?
Hi all, Need some of your advice/opinions. After completeing my CCNA I was going to start my CCSP but got talking to a techy lastnight and he's advising me to go for the CCNP stating that if I go with the CCSP I am limiting my employment options. Also, to find work with the CCSP qualifactions, you really need to know your… -
Passed CCSP
I took and passed the CCSP this morning. For study materials, I used the ISC2 book and the flashcards. I also read the CSA pdf a few months ago. I don't think the flashcards helped much, and the book was poorly written and organized. Time-wise, I was done in less than 2 hours, with about 15 review questions. -

CCSP passed
Hi all, I just got back from the test center and am very happy to have received the CCSP congratulations. The study material I used was: 1) The official (ISC)2 guide to the CCSP CBK edition 2 (I have a hard time staying focused while reading this book) 2) CSA guidance v3.0 (I think this is very good, but is not covering… -

CCSP without the Equipment
I'm really wanting to follow-up on the CCSP track but am concerned just how practical it would be without having the actual equipment available to practice on? From that standpoint, it would only encompass memorization skills to absorb each book & the study question flash cards. Man, this really bites being a student not… -
CCSP or CCIP
Ok so...... about....7..8 months ago i completed the CCNP track, aiming to the CCIE, i got a job in a partner and currently working for cisco (outsourced). I realized that im not quite ready to go for the CCIE yet, since i have only like 1.5 years of experience, so after a lot of thinking (CCDP, or CCNA Voice) i decided to… -
Re: Passed CCSK and failed CCSP
Thanks for sharing your experience. I will be attempting the CCSP next year around Feb - March and plan to begin my studies in Jan. I'll take your advice and start with some Cybrary and ITPro videos before reading the CCSP book I have already purchased. I guess the common thing to do when going for your CCSP is to just… -
CCSP CBK - just pay shipping.
Last year I got Mitechniq's extra copy of the Official Guide to the CCSP CBK. I am paying it forward with the same deal I got: $10 to cover shipping. The book is $55 on Amazon so definitely a great deal. Not the best book to read but certainly an necessary evil if going for CCSP. Hit me up via PM if you want it. -
Re: My Road to CCSP
Good luck on your CCSP Journey SDee. I'm plan on rewriting mine more at the beginning of July. I have a couple study materials that I am leveraging: the Official ISC2 CCSP Guide, Sybex publications and the AIO CCSP Guide. It's probably a bit overkill for some but I like to be thorough when it comes to studying for these…
