Network+ compared to Microsoft Networking 98-366
I had some spare time this winter and decided to see what I can do regarding some certifications. I did Microsoft Networking (98-366) after 2 weeks of studying/review/etc. I then looked at the syllabus for Network+ and they seem to be quite similar. (I see that the Professor Messer videos are only 12 hours long in total.)… -
Re: Are these Contiguous Networks?
Auto-summarisation only occurs at a classful network boundary. So in the above topology, all of the networks are a derivative of the classful network 10.0.0.0/8 (class A). No auto-summarisation would occur. The network becomes discontiguous when you have to cross over another network to get to an address in the same… -
Network + or A+?
Hello, I want to attend WGU but since I don't have any experience, I was told I would need either Comptia Network+ or A+. The admission counselor recommended that I should take Network+ because I would have to take only 1 exam while I would have to take 2 exams for the A+. So the test networks I always use are 10.2.76.1 255.255.254.0, 10.2.78.1 255.255.254.0, 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.0 EIGRP network 10.2.76.0 network 10.2.78.0 network 172.16.1.0 OSPF network 10.2.76.0… -
Re: A+ or network+
A+ certification tells people you know about PCs. Network+ is obviously about networks. If you are going to do networks that only use Macs and other computers, skip A+. I can't see that as realistic, so do A+. My advice, which I followed, is A+ Network+ Server+ Security+ in that order. i-Net+ was a waste, IMHO. -
