I advocate people take CCNA to get the networked foundation first. Then if servers interest them other than networking invest in MS/Novell/Linux/Unix certs to suit. Looking at the posts on the MS vs Cisco boards there is a trend.. Cisco = 167254 MS = 95243 My numbers might be off as I took a stab at it anyway..seems… -

I've just started looking at networking components, is there any helpful hints when starting out how to understand all the different network layouts. Home Network
I am new this networking thing just got my Network+ certification this week and want to move on to CCNA exam...so my question is to set up a home network, do i need two desktops r can this be accomplished with one, also if i need two computers, can one of them be a laptop instead of a desktop? Any help is appreciated :)
