AWS or CCSP before?

The big thing for the ASA will be WebVPN -- I'm doing Contexts and Failover on PIX515s. I haven't been following PEMU, so I don't know what the status of the the 8.x code is (and I'm not sure when that will seep into the CCSP). PEMU should get you through the CCSP for now. I've never taken a CCSP exam, but I did take a CCSP PIX class using the Cisco CCSP Self-Study for PIX Firewall book. The emphasis in the class was definitely on the command line and the difference between IOS on Cisco routers and the PIX. PDM was part of the course, but to a much less degree. Yes you can go direct to the CCSP from the CCNA. As for which to do, the CCNP or CCSP I'd say you already answered yourself (the lighting your fire bit). There are less jobs for a CCSP BUT there are also less of them so it balances out. A lot of folks will tell you to get the CCNP first but there isn't any loss in going… -
