An interesting conclusion to the interview process regarding pay (long)
I hope to not come off as greedy or self entitled but I wanted to share a recent experience I had. About a month ago I had saw a position online and applied for it. The posting was listed pay wise between $x-$y. In general sometimes those postings are inflated and with that understanding I still had an interest for the… -

Passed: CISSP and Tips

I'll give my thoughts and experience with each section individually. I decided to resist studying in the morning as well, instead opting to have a nice breakfast at a cafe… -
Re: Tech jobs vs. technical careers, how to break on through?
We are defined by the work we do. To get on, get involved in the *right* sort of work.. The certs are important. At least the *process* you choose to go through to get them is. You may learn something that will help you punch your weight in an interview or in an incident at work or in a meeting. Braindumpers learn much… -
Re: Computer Tech Software for Job
It comes down to licensing really. If the client is not purchasing any antivirus, then yes, run your antivirus then remove it afterwards from the client's PC. Most of the time when you explain the importance of having an antivirus program on the machine, client's will opt to get one-but in the case where they still decline… -
Re: Are British Telecom cowboys?
BT are in a lot of trouble financially. Even though they are supposed to be seperated by Oftel now, BT Global have about £50 million debt and right across the board they are getting rid of knowledgable but expensive staff (and replacing them with cheaper school leaver with 3 weeks training alternatives) in all their… -
Re: University or Colleges for Network Security / Network Architecture Degrees?
Short answer....there is no law against it, and well....lobbying. Veterans and active service members can use federal benefits that ease the burden of applying, paying for and completing their degrees. This Veterans Day, one way you can honor your neighbors, friends or cousins who have returned from serving in Iraq and…
