fer_nandillofer_nandillo Member Posts: 7 ■□□□□□□□□□
Hi guys, i'm trying to run 2 switches (2960 POE and other non POE) with 2 differents IP on 1 router (cisco 2811).
One is basically only for 7911 phones and the other for CIPC connected to PCs with DHCP from a network router, but I cannot make each nets to ping themselves. Thanks in advance for your feedback

Attached you can find my run

Hi, this should be the diagram

I can ping from my 10.110.17.1 IP switch but I cannot ping from my 192.168.10.1 switch, which is connected to a WAN Router.

Attached you can find my topology

    guestaccess.aspx?guestaccesstoken=zd1CruBknVhtFFMxMnOrwAjwNX5Jr4nHgqgGP5RubTc%3d&docid=07e8c528372b64fe69599d9bee6a55d06&rev=1&expiration=2016-11-05T19%3a12%3a24.000Z

    Thanks

    Hi @fer_nandillo

Could you upload the packet tracer file at all?

is the 192.168.10.1 mngmt ip of the switch 1 or is the gateway of wan router?

can you post the config of the Switch2 and Router1?

So the DHCP on the router is the one assigning IP address to the second switch. Who assigns IP's to the first switch? Of course you can't ping the one from the other, 10.x.x.x and 192.x.x.x both are different networks.

Hi, 192.168.10.1 is the LAN default GW of the router who assigns DHCP to my PCs.

My main requirement is to have SW0 with 7911s phones and SW1 with PCs and CIPCs installed.

All I get is my softphones displaying Registering and then Defaulting to TFTP Server

    Thanks

Hi: SW0:10.x.x.x is only for POE Cisco phones

SW1: 192.x.x.x is for accessing internet through the computers and installing cisco Sofphones, my issue is that i cannot make the Cisco Softphones reachs the router and register for making calls,

    Thanks

    Thanks

You will either need to introduce a bridge between two networks or force router0 to act as a bridge between the two networks. As it is now, those phones and those PC host can't see each other nor share internet connection because they are on two different networks.

You need a routing protocol or static route back to the 10 network. Normally you don't put a IP address on the main interface if you are using sub-interfaces. And as it was said before add a link to the PT file.

Hi, if this can't be done easily, I'll choose to only connect my router to my 192.x.x.x net.

    Which means only softphones.

Should I connect my fa0/0 interface to my 2960 switch or directly to my ethernet ports from my ISP router?

    Thanks

Have you listened to the advice from @DCD?

Please share the file or at least more of the configurations.

    Hi all...

    I don't have a PT file...this is a real life issue =)

The PT diagram was just for guide purposes

Then we need the running configuration from both switches and the other router. But the best thing to do is redesign the network.
