Outlook Stationary...

d4nmfd4nmf Member Posts: 56 ■■□□□□□□□□
Hi,
Has anyone ever created outlook stationary? I have created the stationary in frontpage, and i have saved it as a HTML file locally on my machine. When i then go into Outlook, select stationary, create new and browse for the file i can add the file fine. Then when i go to preview the stationary the colour and logo that i have set in frontpage isnt shown. The text is black where it should be grey...
I have set outlook to HTML format for emails and tried with word 2003 as email editor on and off. All outlook clients are outlook 2003...any ideas?! I can provide screen shots if needed [/img]

Can you post the html? It is most likely a problem in that. I've found Outlook to be very picky about its html rendering.

Ok let me first off say that FrontPage generates some really ugly code! Don't worry, I don't hold it against you, I know it isn't your fault. Now on to things that could be causing your problems ...

BrennanLogo.jpg This is using a relative path. You need an absolute path. Easiest way to fix this? Move the BrennanLogo.jpg into the same directory as your html. Then change the code to

    BrennanLogo.jpg

That should fix up your logo problem. Now as to colour looking through the code you see <FONT color=#000000> all over and <SPAN style="COLOR: #999999">. In this cases whichever one comes last before the text is the overriding colour for the text within that section. You'll either want to swap places with them or just plain change the <FONT color=#000000> to whatever colour you're wanting i.e. #999999

    Hope that helps!
