Have you got anything in the ISO 20000, Cobit or Resilia? I think there's also someone offering ISO 27000 series certifications. I think that fluency in multiple frameworks like these, beyond what you just pick up along the way, could be very useful at the higher, more abstract level you seem to prefer. The CRISC also… -

Truly a risk based test, not a lot of how, more of what and why. So the book and Q&A test bank will suffice. Having studied risk for the CISSP, CASP and CySA+… -

Re: CISSP - How to study and prepare?
You can absolutely do self study and practice questions at home. I have a similar experience to you, with around two decades of enterprise IT experience, of which about half of which is cloud and about 6 years security. I passed CISSP two weeks ago using three primary sources (coupled with experience) : - Kelly Handerhan's… -

Re: Non-job specific certifications, but industry-specific certifications
These are usually called vendor-independent or vendor-neutral certification as opposed to vendor-specific certs. They are very useful for learning when you don't know specifically what kind of technology you might be working with in the future. For example, if you want to learn Cloud but you don't know if your (future)…
