Re: An Unrealistic Job Posting? - IT Security Engineer III - Active Directory
I didnt say it had to be all Microsoft Certs.. Im guessing your hinting at the current certs I have... Just look at this: such as: COMP-TIA Network+ , Security+, SANS GIAC, CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or vendor-specific. Now you tell me, if any of that spells out having expertise in Linux or Windows? You could be a Department of… -
Re: Q and E online database versus The Answers and Explanations Manual
most likely same questions... but... i used the online QAE database for the CISM (in Dec 2016) i used the printed QAE database for the CISA (in Sept 2016) that said, i was aware the printed CISA manual (not QAE) had additional practice questions the previous year did not have (2015 version vs 2016 version). i enjoyed the… -
Re: Passed CISSP !
Thanks, people! Ges, I plan on doing CRISC and CSSLP next year as both directly pertain to my current job. Just for fun in the meantime, I have bought 5 or 6 classes from Udemy that I had got on sale and will knock those out. Most pertain to hacking (wireless, network, webapp) and then another on wireshark and another on… -
Re: IT Security Certification..
If you want to go into management then CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA (all have specific experience requirements that you may not meet) If you want to go into the operations side, then you have many options. For a generic list of categories you can branch into then I recommend looking at the course list at SANS -… -
Re: Just passed CISSP ... should I now do CISM whilst it's fresh in my head? - EXAM BOOKED!!!
@CyberCop123 - Sorry, I thought had responded to your previous post. I believe when I had taken my CRISC exam and failed, I couldn't rewrite the certification in the same testing window (E.g. 1 February-24 May 2019 Testing Window) and had to wait for another one to come up. ISACA has their exam windows for every quarter… -

Hi Everyone, Passed the CCSP exam today. I had also passed the CCSK 8 days ago. After passing the CCSK, I read the ISC BoK and completed the All-in-one last night. I have significant experience in all of the cloud domains. In addition, I have written about 40 prometric exams since 95. From the CISSP, VMWare, Novell,… -
H1B Visa.
What is the best way(website etc) to apply for an H1B visa sponsored jobs. I cannot find anything on the internet i.e. jobs offering H1B visa. About myself, I am a Security consultant (with certs like Cissp, Cism, Crisc,Ccsp among the big ones) working in Australian government as a contractor. I am from Pakistan(Pakistani… -
Re: I lost my momentum
I feel ya man. After doing the ISACA trio (CISM/CISA/CRISC) in 42 days last Summer, I completely bonked when it comes to studying for certs. I managed to pass the AWS CCP earlier this year because it was super easy. I've since tried to study for the AWS Sec Specialty unsuccessfully, as well as the CCSP. I just can't do it.… -
Re: Path to Begin for Security Professional
I think you're on the right path with the Security+ in order to fill out the 'minimum' of the technical areas. Also, it sounds like your co-worker is on, and wants to be on more of the GRC/audit pathway. If that is right, then you might also want to consider something like the CCSK if you're also moving into the cloud, but… -
Re: Trying Harder, an OSCP Journey
