Guess this is your first ISACA exam. Welcome! For my ISACA exam in June and December 2015, it was at PSB Academy Bring your NRIC or passport and exam ticket that was posted to you for identity verification (you can also print out from My ISACA page). Bring 2B pencils and soft eraser. The CISA and CISM exam takers are in… -
Help me figure out my next Cert?
First off, this community is great and thanks for taking the time to read my post and provide some input/guidance. Current Background: ~4 years experience doing IT audits and security work. Not especially technical and not really interested in digging too deep into that. Currently I've passed the CISA and CISSP exams.… -
Why sre SANS certifications so undervalued?
I have my GSEC and I am getting my GCIH soon and my CISM soon. For some reason the CISSP which I don’t think is that impressive is way more valuable than the SANS stuff. Also my CRISC is too and the CISM will be. The crazy thing is i feel like the SANS stuff made me a better security analyst. The other certs did not.… -
ISO 27001 Certification?
Hi Everyone, I need your advice to see who has the best ISO 27001 Certification for the North America region. I am starting up my own cybersecurity consulting and training company. I spoke with my former classmate at Georgetown University regard to his ISACA CISA and CRISC certifications. He said that if a company would be… -
Re: Anyone that took the test in March/April get notification that they are certified yet
yap long wait .. Interestingly it took me 13 days to prepare for exam, and 7 weeks and 1 day to get endorsement :) I did some preps in 2012 then due to some family commitments couldn't attempt, didn't study anything until I realized it on 29 March that exam format is changing, after lot of encouragement from friends n wife… -
Re: Is there such thing as too many certifications?
I started working on LPI but lost interest. I'll probably go back to do it next year. I'm working through GWAPT now. I don't have high hopes of passing the exam since I didnt put much effort to it. But I found the material to be interesting. Most likely I will work on CIPP or CRISC next since its actually relevant to my… -
CISSP in my pocket : I want to work remote now!
Hi, I completed my cissp last year, and looking for a next cert ( ccsp, crisc, or ceh ). But that's not the question here. I have the goal of working completely remote for at least a year or two, maybe more. Now, I want to hear from the people working remotely/from home. What are you doing in the Security field for being… -
Re: Basic questions about CISA, CGEIT, CIA, CISSP, SSCP
CISA, CGEIT and CIA are more for auditors. CISA, CGEIT, CISM and CRISC are from ISACA Questions is, are you interested in auditing type roles? CISSP and SSCP are from ISC2. With your background (the part about finishing OSCP in record time was very impressive ), you may want to get into very technical roles, i.e.… -
Re: Self study Security certs
Being a CEH credential holder and spending plenty of time dealing with the EC-Council, I can't say that I'm really impressed with the way they do things. Some employers know the CEH and some don't. I don't know about other people's experience but it seems like other than the CEH most employers aren't aware of many of the… -
Re: COBIT foundation
Cobit is nothing more than an IT governance slash security framework written by ISACA which is almost 80% of the content you'll find on both the CISA and CISM exams. (COBIT - IT Governance Framework - Information Assurance Control | ISACA) I'm not sure that being "Cobit certified" will help you go anywhere since it will…
