Re: Recommended Lab Environment for 70-298/70-299
Hi Dynamik, I thought going for 70-293 would be the wisest move as well especially after taking a brief “breather” to get the Security+ exam. However, after talking with a MCT instructor, he recommended just going for the 70-298/70-299 exams and knocking those out of the way since I am already “security” focused. I have… -
Re: I want a college degree, but is now the best time?
Well the Network Design & Management track doesn't have any CCNA certifications as part of it. To be honest, I want to go with the Security track, but according to MY calculations (based on the transfer credit PDF, student handbook, and the website), I should be able to transfer in the CU by going the Network… -
Re: Switching gears from law enforcement to IT field... what now?

I just took the Sec+ this week and did not pass it with a score of 685. Very disappointed in myself as I work in IT and studied on/off over the past several months. Not sure where i went wrong. I did the CBT Nuggets (Keith Barker), the CertMaster Comptia, various books as well as Professor Messer. I was not prepared at all… -
Re: Getting Started In The I.T. Field
If you want to get into security you need to start thinking about what makes you tick. InfoSec is a huge field with many different opportunities so what are you interested in? What type of stuff do you find yourself researching in your free time because "you want to know"? Start with the Comptia Security+ its pretty basic… -
