Probably a stupid question, but how do you create network maps?
I have Visio and a copy of Cisco Icons, but the icons seem to be so specific, i.e. 2522-DC front panel icon, and I can't find any generic icons, i.e. a blank router.
In addition, I can't find any special connectors or clouds, such as frame relay.
Is it common to draw a network map in Visio or is there some other commonly used tool out there, such as Power Point?
I see a ton of great network maps both on the web and in books and would love to know how to create my own.
