PS3-Hoax or not?

Theres been rumors of the new PS3 being released this december, then i read next july...does anyone have a clue of the actual month? or is this whole PS3 thing a hoax, it seems that PS2 games are still exceeding expectations on the graphics its able to generate (GT4)\

I heard spring of 06 as a launch date. Here is a list of titles it should launch with http://playstation.about.com/od/ps3/a/PS3LaunchGames.htm

30 titles is better than 18 for 360, but I am sure more titles will come out for 360 between now and spring.
