Starting the transition from law back into IT

I previously worked in IT as a desktop engineer and then went to law school. I now work in a law firm as a litigation case handler and I recently decided that I wanted to get back into IT. I applied for a systems administrator role at work which essentially supports the case management software within the law firm. I got offered the position today . Pretty happy. I can now gain the much needed experience. I took a bit of a pay cut with this new role, but experience is more valuable to me at the moment.

Devilry Member Posts: 668I made the same to/from/to transition as you, I was miserable in the legal field after about 3 years. I chased it for the wrong reasons, money. I thankfully was able to make a lateral on salary when leaving. Congrats on the new gig!
