Well, I took my 74-409 exam today. didn't do that bad in my opinion (but not good enough) I got a 518 and needed a 700 to pass.
This emoticon is exactly how I felt from going into the testing center before taking the test and then leaving. I really want to pass this exam. Being only 182 points away, I'm going to pass this exam! This seems to be the best book for this exam:Mastering Hyper-V 2012 R2 with System Center and Windows Azure: John Savill: 9781118828182: Amazon.com: Books could anyone agree or disagree or have any other books that they recommend? Thanks forum!

Go through the following stuff and you should be good to go.
[1] MVA: Server Virtualization with Windows Server Hyper-V and System Center (This is a MUST!)
Server Virtualization with Hyper-V & System Center Training - Microsoft Virtual Academy
[2] To cover "everything"
Study Guide 74-409 | UseIT
[3] To summarize everything
Study Guide about Microsoft Certification Exam 74-409: Server Virtualization with Windows Server Hyper-V and System Center
Good Luck! -

They **** themselves out of a great experience of gaining knowledge. Knowledge is the end all, be all!! (Sarcastic sinister laugh) Certifications are earned!! I did reference the MVA videos and I found them useful. A great way for studying for any certification exam is the following:
1. Find videos
2. A book
3. Practice lab environment
Make a plan and match the videos with the corresponding readings and a practice lab. From this, you will not only hear what the instructor is saying, you are also reading IT, and doing IT. -
NotHackingYou Member Posts: 1,460 ■■■■■■■■□□You'll get it next time! Did you watch ALL the MVA videos start to finish and take notes? I used the MVAs (while taking notes), the Hyper-V course on Pluralsight and Aidan Finn's BookWhen you go the extra mile, there's no traffic.

I swear I feel like I should carry a scroll on my back with all the notes I take on a daily basis I took notes while watching the videos. Also, CarlSaiyed I was going to look into this particular book, however my debits and credits weren't working in my favor. I was going to purchase the 2008 version of this bookhttp://www.amazon.com/Windows-Server-2008-Hyper-V-Microsofts/dp/047062700X/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1401292936&sr=8-3&keywords=windows+server+2008+hyper-v I think that this would ultimately work well (a used copy of course). Yes there is a difference between the two versions of the server operating system (2008 and 2012) Would you think that this should work?
