PPP authentication Q

I'm rather stumped about this, as I have multiple sources saying different things. When you set up authentication on an interface with PPP encapsulation, I know you need to give the hostname of the Remote router...but is it true that you must also use the Remote routers enable password?

Yankee Member Posts: 157nah, you set the password at both ends to what you want and if they match you will authenticate.
