I'm curious to how many qualifed applicants typically apply for a standard entry level help desk/desktop support position in major cities (ie Chicago, Dallas, Austin, Denver, West Coast)?

West coast: I sent a posting to our recruiter to find candidates. I'm told quite a few applied but only 2 met our certification and basic experience requirement (troubleshooting, active directory, Mac experience). I didn't get to see any other resumes unfortunately.
