Adding Company Description to resume, yay or nay?

I'm curious what you guys think about this as sometimes it helps put into perspective what kind of companies you've worked for. For the record, I haven't done this myself but am strongly considering it. I've taken pride at where I've worked and believe everyone else should to

Yes - I would be proponent of adding a short blurb and link. It a good way for the reader to gauge what you did for the business. -

If its not a popular company name that everyone knows, just put a link to their website under the company's name.
