I got a lot of spare E5520s and tons of 8GB DDR3 ECC Registered Dimms from decomissioned servers I could keep.
Motherboards had to be given back so I am left with RAM, CPU, disks and raid card
I had a look at Supermicro, as this is what we are using, but don't really fancy paying that much at the moment.
Bear in mind - I am in the UK - boards in the US are a lot cheaper, but customs and tax would kill it ..
Any other suggestions ?
