I passed the exam today too.
Used mainly the Sybex book, and read the Microsoft Press and Exam Cram books but only recommend the Sybex book. I used the Transcender Questions and recommend those, the Microsoft MeasureUp Questions are much more difficult than the actual exam, but a good product nonetheless
I also used the CBT Nugget, the guy in the video didn't put me to sleep like in some of the other CBT Nuggets.
Off to CCNA or 70-291, can't decide.

frankj1247 Member Posts: 111It's seems that it's unanimous to take the 291, I just started the CCNA, but I can put that on hold and finish the MCSA.
Just one question, does MCSA 2003 = Job, I thought about going for the CCNA because it seemed like that was more respected and better for getting an entry-level job. I'm in a non-IT job right now, but I want to get out asap to work in IT.
I'm more concerned about which cert will get me the entry level job asap.
Any advice is much appreciated. -
Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminIt depends a lot of the current demand in your area, but in general I think MCSA 2003 can lead to a job sooner than a CCNA, especially if you don't have hands-on experience with Cisco equipment. Entry-level Cisco jobs are rare, very rare compared to enty-level desktop/sys admin/support jobs. Again, it differs per area so the best advice I can give is to check out the job vacancies in your area and see what is in demand.
